It is Fashion week again in Amsterdam and Marta had the chance to visit some shows…'Getekend door het leven' (Marked by life) was the name of the collection launched by Tonymarcussacharias during the Amsterdam International Fashion Week on July 14th 2011. The young designer showed his first solo collection inspired, as stated by the designer himself: "the change of the physical body. The garments create a rupture by omitting details and show a transformation over the course of the collection. A woven dress with a frayed top layer transforms its proportion while the lining remains in its original length."

Tony Marcus Sacharias (1980) studied at Gerrit Rietveld Academy, where his graduating collection was selected for 'LICHTING 10' at AIFW and 'Modebelofte 2010' during Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. Sacharias's conceptual design ideas were incorporated into the collection by the great palette of light pastel beige-white-grey-skin-like colors with the combination of apparent geometric shapes, hats resembling religious accessories and catching-the-eye platform shoes which gave an organic twist to the clothing.
